So. You’ve received a thank you card…
There’s something special about a hand-written message. It says, “I appreciate you”; “I thought about you.”
Each card also has a unique doodle. (You can tell we’re not artists. But, hopefully, it demonstrates to you just how much we wanted to show that appreciation).
Not only are they unique and personal, if you’re not the sentimental type that keeps cards, you can plant them and the bees will benefit when they flourish into wildflowers.
This is really simple:
- Soak the card in water
- Tear the card into small, 1cm pieces
- Place on soil (on the ground or in a flower pot)
- Cover with 0.5cm-1cm of soil
- Keep the soil moist, but not wet. (A spray can is perfect for this)
Your flowers should start to appear within 3-5 days.
What will grow?
The types of flowers you can expect to see inlcude:
- Achillea millefolium
- Centaurea Cyanus (Cornflower)
- Cheiranthus allionii (Siberian Wallflower)
- Chrysanthemum coronarium
- Chrysanthemum maximum
- Cosmos bipinnatus (Wild cosmos)
